Without question, Norway has some of the best motorcycling roads in the world. This is a big statement, but there are few ways to describe this astonishing country other than in superlatives - it is truly incredible! There are few places we have ridden that provide such a complete riding experience that will leave you breathless and wide-eyed, with a grin from ear to ear! There are the sublime, swooping curves running through the valleys, often along the water's edge of a stunning fjord, changing down a gear or two to join twisting hairpins as you climb up through the drama of the mountains to the moonscapes along the plateaus above...you will NOT be disappointed by this spectacular country!

Norway is a real favourite of ours and we always return home enriched by the mountain air and astonishing landscape...Having met you at Trondheim, we continue north on our journey to Nordkapp. Our route takes you into the Arctic Circle, island hopping through Helgeland and on to the wonderful Lofoten archipelago. These magical islands are well known to be a place of extraordinary beauty and you will enjoy the many visual delights of this stunning part of the world, before heading up to "the top" where you will experience the fabled 'midnight sun' as you gaze towards the North Pole, just a relative stone's throw away...

Once we have had our fill of the crisp arctic air and enjoyed the sense achievement of making it "all the way" (having taken those all important Nordkapp photos of course!), we head south again, through the dramatic and bleak tundra and back to Trondheim.

This trip is for those who cannot devote the time to join our full four week adventure and will enable you to join the trip in Trondheim for the northern section, to take in the Lofoten islands and of course, Nordkapp itself. If you wish to fly to Trondheim and rent a bike, this can be arranged - we know a great rental company in Norway who will be able to help. We suggest that this might be a good option to avoid the additional riding time and expense involved in getting yourself to Trondheim*.

Suffice to say that this will be the trip of a lifetime and you will return home with a thousand memories of some of the most incredible landscape on the planet...

We leave in the morning at 8.30am and aim to be at our destination by 6.00pm in the evening.  The days will not be excessively long - we aim to spend around 5 - 6 hours in the saddle, although this will depend on the overall speed of the group. That said, we do not ride fast, preferring instead to soak up the scenery and the incredible landscape that will surround us. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop, take photographs (a must!) and simply to stare at the view!

*As of November 2023, there are plenty of flights from various UK airports to Trondheim either via Amsterdam or Oslo with a cost of around £150 - £200. The cost of renting a motorcycle for 2 weeks is approximately £1000 (summer 2023 prices).
