This trip is a real favourite - it takes in the amazing south coast of the Emerald Isle with its stunning landscapes and near-empty roads. We will take you down ‘roads less travelled’, across mountain passes, round the wonderful coastline, famed for its beauty and a myriad of magnificent, wild Irish places. You will enjoy dramatic views, lighthouses, harbours and quaint seaside villages, full of heritage and history.

The south coast of Ireland is one of the most beautiful and inspiring parts of the British Isles and this adventure will bring you the best of it!

The trip officially starts at the charming fishing village of Kinsale, with its delightful pubs and restaurants clustered around the picturesque harbour.

You will need to get yourself to the port at Fishguard to catch the ferry across to Rosslare where you will be met and lead to Kinsale in time to enjoy a pint of Guinness in the famous Spaniard Inn.

You will spend the next few days riding through some stunning country, over mountain passes and along gorgeous coastlines, including the beautiful Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula where you will ride the wonderful Conor Pass.  You will stay in some great little places, steeped in Irish mystery and enjoy some of the legendary Irish hospitality along the way.

The route will take you up the west coast via delightful villages like Doolin (where you will have the chance to jump on a boat to view the spectacular Cliffs of Moher) and on to Galway where the trip will officially end, before heading back to Dublin to catch the ferry to Holyhead.  You can extend the trip by an extra night if you would like to enjoy the bonus of a ride through the sensational Snowdonia National Park in north Wales.

We leave in the morning at 9.00am and aim to be at our destination by 6.00pm in the evening.  This equates to around 6 hours in the saddle - we typically ride for an hour and a half before a 20 minute break for coffee with a 1 hour stop for lunch and another break in the afternoon. We are definitely happy to stop to admire the view and for photo opportunities along the way.
