This trip is part of our exciting collaboration with the very excellent motorcycling establishment, The Bike Shed Motorcycle Company of London and Los Angeles. The trip has been designed exclusively for members of this fine organisation. If you have never been to this wonderful place, your life is simply not complete...get yourself down there and enjoy brunch in the excellent restaurant, browse the gear in the shop or drop in one evening and enjoy a cocktail or two and drool over the fabulous bikes dotted around the club premises.

All six nights of the trip bar one are spent 'glamping' in well appointed bell tents at our lovely old farm house in the Tarn-et-Garonne in south western France and each day there will be a ride to a different part of the region, be it the magnificent Gorge du Tarn or the delightful ancient villages around the area. The tents sleep two in comfort with single beds, feather pillows, sheets and blankets and you will fall asleep to the sound of the cicadas chirping in the warm September air...

One night is spent out in the hills in order to give enough time to fully experience the breathtaking landscape of the Cevénnes region and you will stay in a magnificent chateau for the night. There will be a day off to laze by the pool or to enjoy a long lunch in a nearby village.

Each morning we head off after a breakfast of hot coffee and freshly baked croissants on some great roads to see some of the wonderful countryside that surrounds us, stopping off to enjoy lunch or a coffee in one of the many beautiful villages along the way.

There are an incredible number of medieval castles and ‘bastides’ (fortified hill top villages) in the area, dating back from the time when England ruled this part of France, each with their own character and we will see some of these on our daily rides.

We will return to the house in the early evening in time to enjoy a cold beer or chilled glass of wine and maybe a swim in the pool, before tucking into a sumptuous dinner cooked by our local French chef.

This is truly a holiday to cater for all!  It incorporates great biking roads with magnificent scenery, the opportunity to relax in wonderful surroundings and enjoy great local cuisine…

We leave in the morning at 8.30/9.00am and aim to be at our destination by 6.00pm in the evening.  This equates to around 6 hours in the saddle - we typically ride for an hour and a half before a 20 minute break for coffee with a 1 hour stop for lunch and another break in the afternoon. We are definitely happy to stop to admire the view and for photo opportunities along the way.
